Design Exhibition
As part of the AlUla Arts Festival 2026, Villa Hegra showcases the work of its resident artists and designers within its spaces:
Saudi artist Badr Ali was invited for a residency dedicated to producing a unique series of furniture pieces in collaboration with the Swiss company USM Haller.
Paul Emilieu Marchesseau, Villa Hegra’s first designer-in-residence, developed modular and eco-responsible furniture for the site’s artist studios, working closely with Saudi partners (Alphaplus, Shaddah Design) and local artisans.
Théo Mercier presents works created during his research residency in preparation for his installation House of Eternity at the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale 2026.
Also on display are the chairs and table from the OSAKA 25 collection, designed by French designer Jean-Baptiste Fastrez for Expo 2025 and produced by Tectona. Specially conceived for Villa Hegra, this ensemble is part of its collaboration with the Mobilier National.
