A Night with the Opéra national de Paris

As part of the launch of Villa Hegra’s preopening programme, the Opéra national de Paris performed for the first time in AlUla, north-west Saudi Arabia, on 17 January 2023.

The renowned Maraya hall, taking on the air of the Palais Garnier for one evening, resonated with masterpieces from the French and German musical heritage. Made possible through the collaboration of these two cultural institutions, this prestigious evening blending opera and ballet was conceived as a dialogue between artists from all horizons, notably in the presence of étoile dancer Alice Renavand and Sawsan Al Bahiti, the first Saudi mezzo-soprano.
