Movement workshops

Rachid Ouramdane, President and Director of Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse and the Compagnie de Chaillot, was invited to take part in a performing arts residency at Villa Hegra in AlUla.

His work approaches movement as a universal language, rooted in the body and serving as a means of transmission; it offers a sensitive way of engaging with the context of AlUla.

These explorations are fully aligned with Villa Hegra’s artistic and educational programme and have laid the groundwork for movement workshops offered to the local community in 2025 and 2026, introducing 250 children from AlUla to these practices.
