Architecture Student Exchange Program (2024)

In 2024, Villa Hegra launched the first edition of its university architecture exchange program in partnership with Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, the Paris-Malaquais School of Architecture – PSL, and ENSA Paris Val-de-Seine. This initiative brought together 30 French and Saudi students, who collaborated on AlUla’s urban development through immersive workshops in AlUla, Riyadh, and Paris.

Their work was presented in an exhibition at Paris-Malaquais in February 2025, marking Villa Hegra’s first event in Paris as part of its international outreach. A jury including architects Anne Lacaton and Jean-Philippe Vassal selected a winning project, awarding the Franco-Saudi team an architectural residency at Villa Hegra in 2026.
